DEAR AUTHORS,
We are honoured to present the disinterested contributions of all of you who have participated in this first call of the "Forgotten Women" project, which was launched in March 2021.
We would like to explicitly thank you for your efforts, as it is not easy to face a blank page and there are many doubts that can arise when translating feelings into words. That is why it is so important that you have decided to share with all of us your personal tribute to another woman/men. In doing so, you have shown courage, trust in each other and humility, looking away from your own reality and towards the reality of another person. This is an act of generosity and recognition "from woman to woman", the aim of this call.
Your contributions have been treated with the utmost respect, making only the necessary grammatical and/or spelling corrections, but fully respecting the style and content of your writings.
We have decided to include all the texts that meet the basic condition of the call (a woman talking about other woman/s). In this regard, it is important to note that, although some of the versions of this call did not clearly state that our aim was to honour and recognise OTHER women, all of you have understood this. Thank you.
The organisers of this project belong to the Spanish-speaking community in Munich, so we have decided to reflect this by including texts originally written in both Spanish and German and translating them into both languages. At this point, I would especially like to thank Ingrid Buchbauer, who has been in charge of the German translation of the Spanish originals.
We would also like to point out that we are not responsible for the opinions, style or implications that may arise from the different approaches to the subject. Only the authors are responsible for their texts and opinions and we did not want to leave out contributions that fulfil the condition of honouring, thanking, paying tribute or expressing appreciation to another woman.
We would love to publish a book with all your texts and donate the proceeds to support associations for migrant women.
We are looking forward to receiving more contributions to this initiative, which is why we have decided to extend the call for entries until 22 October 2021.
Encourage other women to participate!
You can send us your texts via the contact form or via our email address:

It would be fantastic if our project could see the light of day in the form of a book on 8 March 2022. Together, we can make it happen!
Finally, we apologise for any possible misunderstandings or mistakes resulting from our inexperience in a project like this, your project. Learning together with you will be an honour.
